Mother's Day-May 2011

"MOTHER IS THE NAME WE CAME FROM
SHE IS NATURE, SOIL, OCEAN"

Maintaining it's traditions of developing cultural ethos amongst our students IVPS conducted a special function to mark Mother's Day 2011 on 07 may 2011 as a tribute to the Moms of our Tiny Tots. The colourful ceremony saw a special function for the Pre Primary Wing where in young mothers were hosted to a series of competitions to enable them to display their talent in a competitive spirit. It was really enthralling to see the mothers participating in events like Cooking Without Fire, Best Out Of Waste, Fun Filled Musical Chair and an athletic 100 m race. While the tiny tots were cheering their moms to excel even they were surprised to see their mothers in full form on Mother's Day. The winners in each category were awarded prizes by Ms. Shikha Sharma our school principal, Ms. Niharika Singh our school Executive Director & Ms. Sunita Nawani our school Sr. Manager.
In line with the tiny tots classes I & II organized a "SPECIAL ASSEMBLY" as a tribute to their mothers. The special assembly commenced with a welcome note and a prayer to commemorate the occasion. This was followed by a pledge and a speech by students of class II where they expressed their gratitude to the Mothers for giving all that they desired.
The class I students were not to be left behind and came up with a dance, poem, skit and song befitting the occasion wherein they showered their praises on their mothers. The Special Assembly saw it's culmination with a Salute and National Anthem. The students expressed their solidarity with their moms with the following prayer on their lips :
