In a spectacilar performance the students of Indus Valley Public School emerged as CHAMPIONS in the
Karate Championship organized by Noida Authority as part of the Noida 35th Foundation Day Sports
Carnival-2010. The sport carnival which was conducted from 12 April to 17th April 2010 witnesses various
schools of the region participationg in different events.
Displaying exemplary Karate Skills and sports flexibility the karate Team of our school, while defeating their
counterparts in different categories, wrested Six Gold Medals, Eight Silver Medals and Five Bronze
Medals, there by emerging as the Karate Champions in the Tournament. This splendid performance is a
result of sheer hard training and team spirit imbibed in our students as part of our overall objective to bring
all round development of all students.
Our Principal Mrs. Shikha Sharma while congratulating the young champs urged the students to get motivated
and follow the Karate team in their bid for excellence in all fields. provoking and creative ideas. |

EARTH DAY CELEBRATION
In continuation of its policies on Global and Environmental concerns Earth Day was observed in IVPS with the aim of enlightening all students about their duties towards our Planet .While a series of activities were held in the school the highlight was a skit and a song befitting the occasion organized during the special assembly in the presence of Ms. Niharika Singh (Executive Director),Ms. Shikha Sharma (Principal), Ms. Sunita Nawani (Senior Manager) and. On this solemn occasion Sapling was planted in the school campus by them to affirm our commitment towards the green planet.
The message was loud and clear-Save Our Planet Today For Better Tomorrow. The event successfully drove home the concern of each one of us for the EARTH and reminded us of our responsibilities.

Inter-House Debate Competition
An inter-house debate competition was conducted on 28.7.10 for the students of Classes IX – XII on the topic "Is CCE the best tool for assessing the performance of the students". The formal discussion on the topic gave rise to many ideas to ponder and the competition proved to be an edutainment. The winners were Swarnima Purohit – class X of Gagan House who bagged the 1st prize followed by Shipra Kumari – class X of Gagan House who got the 2nd prize. Ankur of class XI of Bhoomi house bagged the 3rd prize. |

IVPS and its I.T performers
Indus Valley Public School participated in Tech Olympics an Inter-school Competition conducted by Cambridge School, Noida on 1st Dec 2010. The prospective potential of the students of Class XII was evident in their multimedia presentation of the event "Photoshop Face Off" where they created a scintillating effect on the picture by using Photoshop ape. Pranav Singh Sengar and Salakshya Agarwal of Class – XII bagged the 1st prize.
Similarly, the prospective talents of the class XII students were brought out in a 4 minute movie making of the events of Cambridge school by using the tool window movie maker. Pratishtha Bharadwaj and Ramit Saxena bagged the 2nd prize in the competition. |

H.T. Pace organized Aviva Young Scholarship Programme in IVPS. The building scholar Utkarsh Rastogi of Class-V-B has won a scholarship of Rs. 1500/-, there by proving the excellent academia of the school. |

Students of Indus Valley participated in an Inter School Competition – Spectrum 2010 hosted by Father Agnel School, Noida on 25th Aug till 28th Aug. IVPS students came up with flying colors in several competitions like Java Programming & Animated Cartoon Art Competitions.
Akash Srivastava & Ashwani Tiwari of XII-Sci. won Second Prize in Java Programming Veronica Chittora got Consolation Prize in Animated Cartoon Art Competition. Principal congratulated the coordinator; Mrs. Renu Kumar, the computer teacher; Ms. Deepali Aggarwal and the students for their hard work. |

A nation-wide Hope Talent Contest on Art and Essay was organized in IVPS premises. Students performed very nicely and bagged medals. Nitya Singh Chauhan bagged 1st Prize in Art Competition & a Gold Medal, Shruti Rani got 3rd Prize in Art and Jasmine Setia of Class X got Consolation Prize in Essay Competition. Many other students were also awarded with prizes. It was one of the triumphant events for IVPS students. |

Students of Indus Valley participated in an Inter School Competition – ?Geomety 2010? hosted by Amity International School, Noida on 7th August 2010. Tanya Chaudhary; Std. 4, Alisha Solanki; Std. 4, Himanshu Kumar; Std 5, and Pashi Singh; Std 5 won the third prize in the competition. They have shown an exceptionally good performance. Senior Manager Mrs. Sunita Nawani and Mrs. Shikha Sharma appreciated the students and encouraged them to participate in the forthcoming competitions. |

Students of Indus Valley participated in an Inter-School Competition organized on the occasion of Earth Day at Vishwa Bharati Public School, Noida on 22.04.2010. Several competitions like paper bag painting; file cover designing, mime etc. were conducted. Students from our school participated whole-heartedly and enthusiastically. It was a wonderful experience of learning about mime. Certificates of appreciation were given to the students. The Principal encouraged and motivated the students to perform their best in the activities in the forthcoming competitions. |

Our school students participated in Yoga Championship in 3rd Delhi State 2010,
organized by Adhyatma Sadhna Kendra, Chattarpur New Delhi ON 23rd & 24th April 2010,
The Children Brought laurels by wining 2 Silver, 2 Bronze Medals.
Principal Mrs Shikha Sharma congratulated the coach Mr. Sarvesh Upadhaya and all the participates for their outstanding performance. |
