Maintaining the National fervor the Indus Valley Public School conducted an enchanting function on 13th August 2010 where in while paying homage to our national martyrs the teachers and students pledged to maintain communal harmony and safeguard the hard won independence.

The colourful cultural function on Patiotic Theme was the highlight in which the students presented a series of nationalistic songs and dances which gave a glimpse of the freedom struggle. A skit starting with Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru's speech was enacted which depicted the freedom struggle and also highlighted the post independence socio-political scenario. The students of classes IX to XII participated in a kite flying event which is symbolic of our Independence. A drawing competition was also organized for the Class III to VIII Sweets were distributed amongst the students as part of the celebration.

Addressing the function our principal Ms Shikha Sharma urged the students to become responsible citizens and contribute in the nation's growth.
